The winner is honored for initiating an enduring and positive change, which arouses not only passion for philanthropy, but also the sense of belonging and recognition derived from their dedication.

Below you can find a brief overview of the guidelines that give an idea of why one can be nominated for “the best philanthropist of the year” award. If you feel like you have other characteristics that distinguish you, we would still like to encourage you to apply.

Being philanthropic in his/her society: someone who does good deed for the members in his/her direct surroundings. As such, it is also related to the degree to which someone sets an example to the members of his/her society, thereby enacting both a leadership and inspirational role.

Impact: when someone’s actions have a tangible, enduring and positive change on the lives of others or the well-being of the society as a whole.

Volunteering: when someone performs services to improve other people’s lives out of love for humanity.

Encouraging philanthropy in other people: when someone has put time and effort into encouraging and inspiring other people to do good deed and adopt a philanthropistic mindset.

Innovation: when someone employs a new approach in his/her journey to good deed and address a specific need.

Financial support: any monetary amount (i.e. including zero) contributed to a social cause or individual project will be sufficient for eligibility.
